The American Academy of Family Physicians was founded in 1947 to promote and maintain high quality standards for family doctors who are providing continuing comprehensive health care to the public.  It is one of the largest national medical organizations, with more than 94,000 members.

DOQ-I.T. - Doctor's Office Quality - Information Technology
The Doctor's Office Quality - Information Technology project is one of the Physician-Focused Quality Initiatives sponsored by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

EHRVA - Electronic Health Record Vendors Association
The Electronic Health Record Vendors Association is a trade association of EHR vendors that addresses national efforts to create interoperable EHRs in hospital and ambulatory care settings.  EHRVA operates on the premise that the rapid, widespread adoption of EHRs will help improve the quality of patient care and the productivity of the healthcare system.

HIMSS - Healthcare Information & Managment Systems Society - Gold Member
The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society is the healthcare industry's membership organization exclusively focused on providing leadership for the optimal use of healthcare information technology (IT) and management systems for the betterment of human health.

HL7 - Health Level Seven
Health Level Seven is a nonprofit volunteer organization that develops standards - the most widely used being a messaging standard that enables disparate healthcare applications to exchange key sets of clinical and administrative data.  Health Level Seven is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

MGMA - Medical Group Management Association
The Medical Group Management Association is the national membership association providing information, networking and professional development for those who manage and lead medical group practices, from small to large.

Founded in 1970, the National Association of Community Health Centers, Inc. (NACHC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance and expand access to quality, community-responsive health care for America's medically underserved and uninsured. TEPR - Toward Electronic Patient Records
