Cleveland, OH — December 5, 2005 — Peak Vista Community Health Centers in Colorado Springs, CO, the largest provider of primary healthcare for the uninsured and underserved populations in El Paso and Teller Counties, has selected Noteworthy Medical Systems' electronic health record system.

"Peak Vista is pleased to partner with Noteworthy who will provide the optimum system for us to automate the records in the care and treatment of our valued patients," according to BJ Scott, President and CEO of Peak Vista.  "We look forward to working with an organization so devoted to state of the art technology and extensive systems support."

Established in 1971, Peak Vista is a non-profit federally qualified health center serving the Pikes Peak region with twelve outpatient primary medical and dental clinics.  Each year, Peak Vista serves 46,000 patients with a staff of over 325. Most of their patients are employed, but unable to afford the cost of their portion of healthcare insurance and thus have an access barrier.

Guided by its mission: "To Provide Exceptional Healthcare for People Facing Access Barriers," Peak Vista was among the first federally qualified health centers in the nation to receive accreditation from JCAHO (Joint Commission of Accredited Health Organizations).  In addition, they recently gained accreditation from the AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Centers), the same accrediting agency to which private practice physicians adhere.

"All of us at Noteworthy are excited to be working with Peak Vista and are proud to be affiliated with an organization of their caliber and mission," states Lawrence Dolin, President and CEO of Noteworthy.  "By enabling Peak Vista to more easily collect discrete clinical data at the point of care in a completely paperless environment, we anticipate they will enhance their services by giving them the tools to know more about their patients and affording them more time to devote to patient care by automating their enormous governmental reporting responsibilities."
