Multi-Site Colorado Community Health Provider Goes Live with Noteworthy Medical Systems Electronic Health Records (EHR)

CLEVELAND, OH — October 18, 2006 — Noteworthy Medical Systems, Inc., originator of the three-screen ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) management system, announced today it successfully implemented NoteworthyEHR at Peak Vista Community Health Centers in Colorado Springs, Colo., the largest provider of primary healthcare for the uninsured and underserved populations in El Paso and Teller counties.

Celebrating 35 years, Peak Vista is a federally-qualified health center serving the Pike's Peak region with 71 providers at 10 outpatient primary medical and dental clinics.  Most of their 46,000 patients are employed, but unable to afford the cost of their portion of healthcare insurance and thus have a barrier to healthcare access.  The implementation of NoteworthyEHR now allows Peak Vista's staff to easily access and document patient visits across multiple sites.

Noteworthy's six-stage implementation methodology meant a smooth go live experience.  One of Peak Vista's family medicine clinics saw nearly 100% of its encounters in Day One; remaining locations saw at least half their patient load.  Five sites went live in just one week with 100% provider adoption.  "The size and scope of this project demanded a close partnership with our EHR vendor," said BJ Scott, Peak Vista's president and CEO.  "Noteworthy delivered, supporting us all the way."

"Naturally we were nervous about 'going live,' wondering how it would all evolve," said Pam McManus, vice president of finance and operations for Peak Vista.  "We couldn't be more pleased with their expertise and dedication.  I was excited at how quickly the staff picked up the software and embraced the change.  By the second day several physicians saw 100% of their patients in NoteworthyEHR, including a substitute physician with no training."

Noteworthy was the logical choice for Peak Vista because its exclusive Intelligent Template Technologyä provides the centers with the ability to capture more structured data at the point of care than other EHRs they explored.  With more reusable data at their disposal, Peak Vista can easily meet specialized reporting requirements.  According to Scott, "We spoke with users of other EHRs and none lives up to the user expectations or the special data requirements community health centers have.  NoteworthyEHR performs!"

"We're extremely fortunate to have a partner like Noteworthy," said Michael Welch, D.O., vice president of medical affairs for Peak Vista.  "After only one week we were able to improve delivery of patient services throughout our sites.  The interface is so easy to use-our clinical staff have access to everything they need, just the way they need it."

"We're thrilled at how readily Peak Vista was able to implement and surpass initial goals," stated Lawrence Dolin, president and CEO of Noteworthy.  "In an industry where so many implementations fail, we're proud of our 100 percent success rate.  Because of our ability to partner with our clients through teams dedicated to their unique needs, we bring a level of commitment and service others simply can't match."
